GET INVOLVED

YES!+ is about action. When you complete YES!+ not only do you feel less stressed but more proficient to excel in your present responsibilities, and eager to take on more to create the society we all would like to live in. This is evident from the work of our YES!+ Tutoring Team, a group of YES!+ graduates that got together and decided they wanted to build a stronger community.

Over the past few years the Little Burgundy Community has been in the news as a result of the youth violence, and an escalating high school drop out rate. Many of the youth have lost hope as a result of this, and the school system is at a loss as it cannot accommodate the extra attention the youth need.

The YES!+ graduates saw inspiration in this challenge, and created The YES!+ Tutoring Team. How does it work?  It's simple. Take at risk youth with a lot of academic potential and pair them up with University Students and Young Professionals. What do you get. Higher grades, course completion, and a new confidence in the Little Burgundy youths ability to excel academically and an inspiration to reach higher and achieve.
